However, it's worth noting that the camcorder requires mains power to access files via USB.

In terms of image quality, the SDR-H80 performs admirably in good lighting conditions, with accurate colors and reasonable detail. However, in less favorable lighting, it can struggle, and there is a noticeable amount of noise present. However, the camcorder does include a small button that activates Web Mode, which allows users to upload clips directly to YouTube.
